Hello! I’m Alice Knowelden and I am an Iyengar Yoga teacher. I love teaching people of all ages and abilities and helping them to discover the benefits of a regular yoga practice.
Iyengar Yoga uses props to allow us to maintain poses for longer durations and to help with balance and stiffness. It is perfect for beginners and advanced students alike; as well as improving strength and flexibility, it can be an absolute tonic for those suffering from depression, anxiety and other debilitating mental health conditions. It is great for counteracting stiffness caused by long periods of sitting or in those who exercise a great deal, and can be a wonderful tool to aid recovery in people who are suffering from long and short-term physical conditions. It is also a way to feel part of a community (even online!), to relax and to have fun.
